The Conrad Award. Meeting with nominees

The Conrad Award is one of the most important Polish literary distinctions today. The goal of the Award, which has been presented during the Festival for many years now, is to support fresh authors and recognise the best prose debuts. After the publication of their first books, authors face the challenges of the publishing market, which is often fraught with restrictive rules and principles. The Conrad Award highlights the most interesting new literary voices, enabling them – thanks to the financial prize – to pursue further creative endeavours. We are going to hold a meeting with the five nominees to let the festival audience meet the candidates before they decide on the outcome, and enable them to talk about their exceptional books in their own voices.
Free tickets will be available for download from October 16, 2023 on the KBF:BILETY and KBF: PLUS application.
