The dream of living outside the system has been with us for a long time – from hippie communes to today’s eco-villages and artistic collectives. Behind it always lies the same yearning: for freedom, simplicity, and community. But history shows that such dreams often have a darker reverse side. Why do we still believe that “another life” is possible? Do our attempts at escape really lead to freedom, or do they only reveal that the system always manages to catch up with us?
