Meeting summarising the fourth edition of the Translatorium programme co-organised by the Association of Literary Translators, the Translation Studies Centre of the Jagiellonian University and the Krakow Festival Office. Participants will talk about their experiences of translation, working with literary texts and working with mentors. The talk will be hosted by Magdalena Heydel. The meeting will take the form of a panel discussion.
Witnesses: Miłosz Kurek (French), Marta Lasota (Italian), Agata Olszowa (Chinese), Jan Pędziński (Dutch), Marta Wojnowska (Portuguese), Dominika Wojtaś-Myślińska (Romanian).
Mentors for the fourth edition of the Translatorium were: Wojciech Charchalis (Portuguese), Jerzy Koch (Dutch), Joanna Kornaś-Warwas (Romanian), Tomasz Kwiecień (Italian), Katarzyna Sarek (Chinese) and Anna Wasilewska (French).
The Translatorium was created for people interested in translating foreign literature into Polish who have no more than one published translation of a literary work. The programme aims to develop translation skills and deepen reflection on literary translation. The program also enables young translators to network with publishers and colleagues.
