There is no existence without crisis. These are the moments when the world around us trembles and falls apart, and sometimes we collapse along with it. They cannot be avoided, yet we may still seek ways to take something away from them, or to transform ourselves, though even then there is no guarantee of success. Since each of us must haul our own heavy loads, let us not try to run away. The road ahead must be walked – and on it, our companions will be philosophy, meditation, and rock’n’roll.
