Writers in the state of war

Writers in the state of war

On a tour from Lviv via Lublin and Warsaw, the group of Ukrainian writers, poets, culture journalists and literature promoters has a final stop in Cracow before returning home to participate in the 6th edition of the Conrad Festival. The aim of such a study visit is learning about the literature life of Poland and sharing experiences both-ways. In Cracow the discussion will be dedicated to the topic Writers in the state of war - all kinds of war. Authors of the generation from 80's finish the talk with the reading of their works (in Ukrainian, Polish translations by Aneta Kaminska).
Among the participants of the event:
Oleksii Chupa - bylingual prose and poetry author born in Makijiwka, Donetsk region, Ukraine. Used to work as a technician at a metalurgical plant,
Because of the war in the East of Ukraine was forced to flee with his family and just settle in Lwow.
Nata Kowal - poet, photographer, journalist, event-manager, Euromaidan activist originally from Rivne, based in Kyiv.
Olesia Mamchych - organized series of literary events, among them revolutionary poetry marathons at Euromaidan and events at different locations in Kyiv.
Iryna Shuvalova - poet and writer, translator, author of essays and literary critique from Kyiv. Received a number of prizers and awards.
Mykyta Lunin - well-known poet, active organizer of the musical and literary events in Kyiv.
Moderation by Iryna Vikyrchak, program director of the Literature Tour to Poland, cultural manager and literature promoter.
Discussion in Ukrainian, Polish translation provided.
