tvSSFBM EHKL - Surreal Film,

tvSSFBM EHKL - Surreal Film,

United Kingdom, 2001, direction: Francis Hanley, artists: Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Louis Buñuel
British journalist and author Jonathan Meades produced a documentary on surrealism for the BBC. The odd title of this production, tvSSFMB EHKL, is an encrypted phrase for Surreal Film, and the film itself is a psychedelic journey across a surreal world, filled with humour. It presents both the sources and the most important features of this art direction. Meades, whom we can watch in the film as the presenter, introduces both the most famous artists of the movement: Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, and Luis Buñuel, and fictional characters from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.
The event accompanies the Lover of Imagination exhibition.
