Amanda Hopkinson
A translatolog, translator, lecturer of the City University of London and University of Manchester. Until 2004, Professor and Director of the British Centre for Literary Translation at the University of East Anglia. She translates from Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Her scientific interests also extend to the research into popular culture. Her main field is contemporary prose of Latin America. She is one of the founders of the Notes & Letters International Festival of Music and Literature. On the First day of the Conrad Festival, 22th October 2012 she took part in debate entitled Sebald: uncertain economy of memory
