André Rouillé
Historian of photography, lecturer at the faculty of art, aesthetics and philosophy of Université Paris 8. Organiser of numerous exhibitions, editor-in-chief of La Recherche photographique. Participant of many conferences and festivals on photography throughout the world. Rouillé runs www.paris-art.com, the first French website devoted to contemporary culture including art, photography, design, dance, literature, which he established in 2002. Author of books on photography and contemporary art, including La Photographie: Entre Document et Art Contemporain (2005, Polish edition in 2007). Invited to Krakow by the Seweryn Udziela Museum of Ethnography within the Framework of the two-year Photo-Proxima project. He delivered a lecture entitled Can digital photography be considered photography? at the Klub Lokator on Thursday (the 3rd of November) at 6pm.
