Ewa Landowska

a graduate of the Krakow School of Jazz and Entertainment Music. Since 1999, she has been involved in calligraphy – she runs workshops, courses and shows all over the country. Creates and designs her own typefaces based on classical alphabets. She works with both traditional and modern lettering. Co-author of a textbook for learning calligraphy, Piękna Litera, two volumes of which were published in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In 2015, she made a calligraphic copy of the 1997 Constitution of the Republic of Poland, commissioned by the Chancellery of the Sejm. Founder of the Museum of Calligraphy and the History of Writing (2017) devoted to the history of pre-war art and the science of writing (both in Polish and other languages). Author of the wall calligraphy in the Jan Kochanowski Museum in Czarnolesie. Her works were presented at the One-Day Museum (2014) exhibition at the International Cultural Centre in Krakow.
