Iwona Luba

Head of the Department of Art History and Modern Culture at the Institute of Art History of the University of Warsaw. She conducts research on Polish and European art of the 19th and 20th centuries, with particular emphasis on the avant-garde and official art. Organiser of the exhibition 1955 (Branch of the National Museum in Warsaw, Rabbit House, 2005). Holder of scholarships from the Foundation for Polish Science, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Lanckoroński Foundation. Member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Art History, University of Warsaw, International Council of Museums (ICOM), Main Committee of the Art Olympics, co-founder and member of the Friends of the Art Olympics Association. Author of, among others, publication titled Duch romantyzmu i modernizacja. Sztuka oficjalna Drugiej Rzeczypospolitej (2012).
