Joanna Kornaś-Warwas

A passionate translator of literature. Author of translations of works by the most renowned Romanian writers, such as Max Blecher, Mircea Cărtărescu, Dan Lungu and Varujan Vosganian. Winner of the European Poet of Freedom City of Gdańsk Literary Award for translating the volume of poems Moja ojczyzna A4 by Ana Blandiana; and the Angelus Central European Literary Award for translating Księga szeptów by Varujan Vosganian. In 2017 she was awarded the Translator Award by the Romanian cultural and literary magazine Observator cultural.
