Joanna Roszak

writer, poet, columnist, academician. Lecturer at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Winner of the prize in the Jan Józef Lipski Competition. Author of several volumes of poetry, including Wewe (2011), for which she was nominated for the Wrocław Silesius Poetry Award; Ladino (2013), for which she received a nomination for the Gdynia Literary Award; Tego dnia (This Day, 2015), honoured with a nomination for the Wisława Szymborska Poetry Award. Author of academic and essayistic books, including Miejsce i imię. Poeci niemieckojęzyczni żydowskiego pochodzenia (Place and Name. German-speaking poets of Jewish origin, 2014) and Słyszysz? Synagoga. Wychodząc spod poznańskiej synagogi przy Wronieckiej (Can you Hear? Synagogue. Emerging from underneath the Poznań synagogue on Wroniecka Street, 2015).
