Krzysztof Koehler

Poet, literary historian, essayist, screenwriter. Co-editor of brulion. Author of seven poetry books, monographs of Piotr Skarga (2012) and Stanisław Orzechowski (2004), an anthology of Sarmatian poetry, and the www.palus-sarmatica.pl website. He works at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. He delivered lectures at Jagiellonian University, the Jesuit University Ingnatianum, Rice University in Houston, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Indiana University Bloomington. In the years 2006-2011, he was the director of TVP Kultura. Author of television programmes and documentary scripts, co-author of an experimental film about Mikołaj Sęp-Szarzyński, author of a libretto for E. Knapik’s opera Moby DickMisterium (premiering at the Grand Theatre-National Opera in 2014). Author of the introduction to the Anthology of Jan Polkowski’s poems (published by Hachette, 2012). On 23rd October Krzysztof Koehler will host a meeting with Jan Polkowski.
