Maciej Stroiński

translator and theatre critic. A graduate of the Institute of Audiovisual Arts at the Jagiellonian University, where he defended his PhD thesis on Judaism in the Israeli cinema. Member of the Polish PEN Club, Society of Authors ZAiKS and the Polish Literary Translators Association, laureate of the Kraków UNESCO City of Literature Prize. He has translated into Polish, among others, De profundis (2018) and plays by Oscar Wilde, as well as Shalom Auslander’s Mother for Dinner (Matka na obiad, 2022).
