
Marci Shore

American historian and researcher of the history of Eastern Europe. She teaches history and European culture at Yale University. Author of Caviar and Ashes: A Warsaw Generation’s Life and Death in Marxism about Polish writers and their connections to communism, including Tuwim, Broniewski, Lechoń, and Wasilewska. In 2013, Modernity as a Source of Suffering came out under the imprint of Krytyka Polityczna. It is a story of outstanding intellectuals from Central Europe struggling and cooperating with the regime.
