Marcin Giżycki
Art and film historian, critic, and director. Professor at the Katowice School of Technology. Artistic Director of the “Animator” International Animated Film Festival in Poznań. He is a lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. His publications include: Avant-garde and Cinema (1996), Disney Was Not the Only One (2000), and Wenders Go Home! (2006). He produced the following films: I Am Providence: The Story of H.P. Lovecraft and His City (1997), The Island of Jan Lenica (1998), Journeys of Daniel Szczechura (2005), Sicilian Flea (2008), Alfred Schreyer from Drohobycz (2010), and Kinefaktura (2012). For the latter, he was nominated for the award of the Polish Short Films Competition. On 25th October he will host the meeting with Quay Brothers.
