Marianna Lis

translator of Indonesian literature and theatre scholar, who focuses on contemporary wayang, theatre and experimental music in post-traditional Indonesia. She received her doctoral degree from the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Author of Wayang. Jawajski teatr cieni, member of the Warsaw Gamelan Group, and creator of wayang kulit performances. In 2024, she received the Anugerah Kebudayaan Indonesia Award.
