
Martín Caparrós
Argentine journalist and writer
(born in 1957) – Argentinian writer and translator, as well as radio, television and press journalist. He began his career as a journalist in 1973, emigrated from Argentina three years later, and returned in 1983, after the collapse of the military dictatorship. He lived in France and Spain, where he studied and worked with the press (including El Pais). In Poland, he is known mainly as the author of the acclaimed Hunger (released in Poland as: Głód in 2015) and the recently published essay book Una luna. (released in Poland as Księżyc. Od nowiu do nowiu in 2018). He has also published several novels (one of which was published in Poland in 2008 as Tajemnica markiza de Valfierno). He translated works by Voltaire, Shakespeare and Queved into Spanish.
