Roy Jacobsen

Roy Jacobsen

(born 1954) – one of the most recognised contemporary Norwegian writers. He debuted in 1982 with a collection of short stories Fangeliv [Prison Life]. He was twice nominated for the Nordic Council’s literary award. In 2017, his novel The Unseen went to the final of the International Booker Prize. His books have been translated into more than thirty languages.
