Wojciech Górecki
a reporter, an analyst, a historian(b. 1970) – a reporter, an analyst, a historian, an expert in matters of Caucasus and Central Asia. He is a graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin and the University of Warsaw. He has published texts, among others, in Tygodnik Powszechny and Rzeczpospolita; he regularly collaborates with Nowa Europa Wschodnia. In the years 2002-2007, he was the first secretary and subsequently a consultant in the Polish Embassy in Baku. In 2009, he was an expert of the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on the Conflict in Georgia in Geneva. He works in the Centre for Eastern Studies in Warsaw. He is the author of three books on Caucasus: Planeta Kaukaz [Planet Caucasus, 2002], Toast za przodków [A Drink for Ancestors, 2010] and Abchazja [Abkhazia, 2013].
