Agata Teperek
Translator of Swedish and German texts, holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Scandinavian Studies from Humboldt University in Berlin and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Baltic Sea Region Studies from the University of Turku. Fellow of the S. Fischer Stiftung. If she could, she would move every month – since she cannot, she tries every now and then to move into another author's head and look at the world through the eyes of their characters. She is interested in memory studies and selected aspects of gender studies. In her free time, she dreams of getting a doctorate and reading at least half of the books she has been unable to resist buying. She has translated books from Swedish by Balsam Karam, Karin Smirnoff, Elin Anna Labby, Jurek Sawka and Ingmar Bergman, among many others.
