AI, or artificial intelligence, has an impact on all areas of life –perhaps it is time to consider what impact it already has and will have on the book market. While predicting all the outcomes and consequences of this new development is virtually impossible, we should start the debate about its potential impact on the labour market and the intellectual property landscape, the latter of which – in particular copyright and its protection – remains a concern for authors. The threats seem obvious, the opportunities a little less so, but maybe we just need to be a bit more optimistic?
