The relationship between literature and reality is usually characterised using the notion of duty – novels ought to tell stories about the world we live in so that we can understand it better and live more consciously, and thus have more impact on it. We want to ask questions about the limits of modern literature. Can it keep up with the rapidly changing world? How do writers deal with situations, where social and political events linger in our consciousness for a few hours, after which they are displaced by new information? In a conversation with Jakub Żulczyk, a truly versatile and popular author, we will talk about the place of literature among other contemporary means of communication.
